Cape May County Modular Home Success Story

Complete Construction & Remodeling has had the pleasure of working with dozens of different NJ homeowners in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy that swept through our shores in October, 2012. As many of you know, homeowners and business owners throughout New Jersey lost their homes and businesses during the massive storm. Homes that weren’t lost were later found to be damaged beyond repair.

Unfortunately, many of these homeowners did not receive enough compensation from insurance companies and state agencies to rebuild immediately. Thus, thousands of people throughout the state are still waiting anxiously for their chance to rebuild, whether that means getting the money, waiting for contractors, or waiting on the necessary construction permits.

Wildwood NJ Modular Home Showcase

One such homeowner is Kathleen Clancy of Wildwood, NJ. Her home was substantially damaged during the storm, but without the funds to rebuild right away, she remained into her home until May, 2014 when it just became too much of a hazard to live in.

Kathleen was lucky enough to be a recipient of New Jersey’s Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Elevation, and Mitigation (RREM) Program that provides up to $150,000 in compensation, in the form of grants, to homeowners to restore their storm-damaged homes. The NJ RREM Program has been criticized for being confusing and slow, but it does work. We have assisted several homeowners in getting their grant money. It’s not easy, but if you know how to navigate the system properly, you can get the job done.

The result of Clancy’s grant money is a brand new modular home that we had the pleasure of delivering on September 26, 2014. Here is the news coverage of an emotional Kathleen Clancy on the day her home arrived to be set on her property:

New Jersey Modular Homes are a Great Option

For situations like this, where there are limited funds to build a new home, a custom modular home can be the way to go. We offer modular homes starting from around $100 per square foot, finished. They can also be built in less time than traditional stick-built homes, which appeals to many homeowners.

Now that her new modular home is set, we are putting on the finishing touches and trying to get Kathleen back into her home before Thanksgiving. No doubt she has a lot to be thankful for this year. We at Complete Construction & Remodeling are also thankful for the opportunity to assist homeowners like this throughout the Jersey Shore.
